Let's learn FOUR main verbs for musical instruments:
弹(彈) tán: play with fingers

吹(吹) chuī: [blow] play with the mouth

Daily Expressions:

厕所在哪里？cè  suǒ  zài  nǎ  li  ？ 

廁所在哪裡?

Where’s the toilet?

[You can add “请问qǐng  wèn” in front to make you more polite.]

请问女厕在哪里？

請問女廁在哪裡?

qǐng  wèn  nǚ  cè  zài  nǎ  li  ？

Where is the ladies’ room, please?

[男厕: men’s room]

不好意思，可以借个厕所吗？

不好意思, 可以借個廁所嗎?

Excuse me. May I use your bathroom?

bù  hǎo  yì  si  ，  kě  yǐ  jiè  ge  cè  suǒ  ma  ？

[In Chinese , we say 借jiè (borrow), not 用yòng (use) here.]

不好意思,我去补个妆。

不好意思, 我去補個妝。

Excuse me. I have to go powder my face.

bù  hǎo  yì  si  ,  wǒ  qù  bǔ  ge  zhuāng  。

[an old-fashioned, but very polite tone]

别忘了冲马桶。

Don’t forget to flush the toilet.

我去上个小号。

The lavatory is vacant.

cè  suǒ  méi  rén  。

[没人 means “no one (there)”]

The lavatory is occupied.

cè  suǒ  yǒu  rén  shǐ  yòng  。

[Someone uses the toilet.]

厕所没有卫生纸了。

廁所沒有衛生紙了。

There‘s no more toilet paper in the bathroom.

cè  suǒ  méi  yǒu  wèi  shēng  zhǐ  le  。

[卫生纸: toilet paper]

马桶塞住了。

馬桶塞住了。

The toilet is clogged.

mǎ  tǒng  sāi  zhù  le  。 

[塞: clog, plug]

水龙头在漏水。

The faucet is leaking.

[水龙头: a faucet; 漏水: leak (water)]
